President Ruto who finally took over from the former president Uhuru has already taken over the instruments of power and his allies seems to have felt the benefits already. According to the trusted source, Ruto's friends who were facing a total of ksh 30 billions fraud cases have had their said cases withdrawn from the courts of law. A number of the cases withdrawn were allegedly claimed to be politically instigated on the victims for the political stand. The biggest beneficiary of the said case withdrawal is the deputy president whose ksh 7.5 billion cases was withdrawn immediately after taking over the leadership. This is after rumors emerged that President William Ruto ordered their release immediately after being sworn in as the 5th President of Kenya. Speaking on the issue, a senior Police Officer at Kamiti Maximum Prison confirmed that indeed Ahmad Abolfathi Mohammed and Sayed Mansour Mousavi were released from prison before their sentence lapsed. “Yes, the two were released from prison using the relevant provision of law.
