MaagerianewsThe Chief Administrative Secretary position was declared legal by the courts a few days ago after a battle that had been raging in the courts for a while.

The Law Society of Kenya had taken the Kenyan government to court over the legality of the positions which were available during the Former President Uhuru Kenyatta administration.

The positions had been deemed unconstitutional but the courts gave President William Ruto the go ahead to appoint his Chief Administrative Secretaries as per the reports that we have with us.

This evening, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us, 224 Kenyans have been shortlisted for the much covered seat of the Chief Administrative Secretary in the government.

The 224 will then be trimmed down to those that the President wants to appoint in the position as per the reports that we have with us this evening.

Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi who was recently appointed to the Talent Hela Committee is one of those that have been shortlisted.

Former Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga is also among those that have been Shortlisted for the position.


Former Member of Parliament Catherine Waruguru is also in the list of those that have been shortlisted this evening.

Former Nairobi County Orange Democratic Movement Party Governor Evans Kidero is also among them and so is the Former Kakamega County Senator Cleophas Malala.

President William Ruto faces a heavy external public debt burden during his first term, with his government expected to spend nearly Sh1.6 trillion servicing the debts.
